Brett Cook has named round 7 team for this week.

We caught up with Brett Cook and asked about last weekend’s loss and Sunday’s upcoming game against Mounties at Ringrose Park…

Disappointing loss last weekend…

Yes it was a very disappointing loss for us. It’s a hard place to win down there and it proved again to be that way. We had our chances, we didn’t complete nowhere near we should of. The Jets completed well at 90% and our defence just wasn’t up to scratch.

And the penalty count

Yeah that didn’t help. Some of them were not warranted and I thought we were hard done by but others were so we need to fix that up and be good with our discipline.

The standouts for the game… Who was the ‘Players Player’?

Bureta Faraimo, the winger was. He scored 2 tries and had a hand in both of the others. He was a handful for them too.

His goal kicking was good too.

Yeah. He kicked 2 from the side line and that last one under a bit of pressure, so he was good for us as well.

And we’re here at home on Easter Sunday against Mounties. What do you think we’ll have to do to come away with a win this weekend?

Yeah they’re definitely the form team in the competition, had some big wins and by far have got the most points scored for and they’re doing alright in the defence department. We’ll need a big improvement to be able to bet Mounties.

Everyone pulled up ok so no injuries but Taniela Lasalo was on report and is in at the Judiciary tonight.

What are the area’s you think we’ll need to concentrate

They’ve got a big forwards pack so they’ll come through the middle and if they’ve watched video I don’t blame them for that, that’s going to be the challenge for our forwards this week.

They’ve also got a couple of dangerous backs, Mitch Cornish in the halves. He gets them around the field and they’ve got a couple of good outside backs that have been scoring lots of tries.

They are to play Mounties
