Brett Cook has named the Round 4 team that are to play the Illawarra Cutters

We caught up with Brett Cook and asked about last weekend’s 44 - 20 loss to the Auckland Warriors and this Sunday’s upcoming home game against the Illawarra Cutters at Ringrose Park …

What are your thoughts about last weekend’s game?

Disappointing again but it was always going to be hard over there. We just didn’t give ourselves opportunity and handed over to much ball. The speed of the ruck was a lot quicker for them in both attack and defence then what it was for us.

Who were your standouts from the game last week?

Taniela Lasalo added a fair bit when he went on. He added a bit of aggression and tried to get things happening for us. Joseph Ualesi keeps improving, he had another game where he was in our top 3 players.

Who was the ‘Players Player’?

Joseph Ualesi

Who was the Player of the Week selected by the Coaching Staff (Coaches Award)?

Taniela Lasalo

This weekend we’re up against the Cutters at home … So where do you think we’ll need to concentrate to come away with the win?

We need to improve everywhere really. We need to have more ball than them, complete our sets and defensively we need to be a lot tighter.

Who do you think are the danger players that we'll need to watch out for?

Justin Hunt. He scored 3 tries last week and playing against Wenty he'll want to have a big game.

Are there any injuries to report?

Cody Nelson has a crook sternum. We’re currently not sure if he will be playing this weekend.
