Brett Cook has named round 24 team for this week.

We caught up with Brett Cook and asked about last weekend’s 22 – 19 win over the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldog and this Sunday’s upcoming home game against the Wests Tigers at Ringrose Park …

What are your thoughts about last weekend’s win?

A tough win in very poor conditions and it was always going to be tough. We definitely left it as late as we could with less than 10 seconds on the clock.

Who were your standouts from last week?

Daniel Alvaro was good; he did a heap of work that you probably don’t even really realise until you watch the video. I thought Ben Jones had his best game of the year. Isaac Maliota in the limited minutes he did play did some really good things. There were a few there that put in some quality performances.

Who was the ‘Players Player’?

Isaac Maliota

Who was the Player of the Week selected by the Coaching Staff (Coaches Award)?

Ben Jones

This weekend we’re up against the Tigers at home … So where do you think we’ll need to concentrate to come away with the win?

We need to improve on everything really like we want to each week. The conditions [weather] by the looks of it will probably be pretty similar because there is more rain coming and the oval still pretty wet; hopefully that puts us in good stead that we’ve had a game in those conditions already. It’s going to be a tough game even though they’ve got players out; we’ve got players out too. Like always when we play them… A very tough game!

Who do you think are the danger players that we’ll need to watch out for?

Joel Luani the Hooker, he’s got plenty of experience. They’ve got a couple of big Front Rowers that are hard to handle and they’ve got good ball skills; they offload a lot. They would be the main ones; through their Forwards and then Michael Stevens their Halfback plays off the back of that if they’re allowed to dominate.

Are there any injuries to report on or on report?

Pat Mataele has a neck injury and will be out for another week or two but other than that… nothing that will keep anyone out.
