Brett Cook has named round 21 team for this week.

We caught up with Brett Cook and asked about the loss to the Illawarra Cutters and this Saturday’s upcoming game against the Wyong Roos at Remondis Stadium, Woolooware …

What are your thoughts about last weekend’s loss?

Disappointing again it was a game where we got dominated, out muscled and out enthused. They had a very good side on the field which was always going to be a tough game for us but we just made too many errors particularly defensively we let them play the ball to quick. They were, like I said, too big, strong and fast for us.

Who were your standouts from last week?

Probably wasn’t a standout but Sammy Gorman tried hard us, he’s playing out of position at the moment and he gives his best each week. I thought the two Front Rowers, Mitch Allgood and Peni Terepo, had big minutes and got through a lot of work. There weren’t too many other positives than that.

Who was the ‘Players Player’?

Sam Gorman

Who was the Player of the Week selected by the Coaching Staff (Coaches Award)?

Sam Gorman

This weekend we’re up against the Wyong Roos at Remondis Stadium … So where do you think we’ll need to concentrate to come away with the win?

We need to complete our sets. If we’ve got more footy than them and we complete our sets, then we will win the game it as simple as that! We’ve got to be prepared to work hard in defence. We have to get back to dominating in the middle of the field like we were. When we were winning our games our middle forwards were doing a really good job so we need to get back on board with that.

Who do you think are the danger players that we’ll need to watch out for?

Mitch Williams is their best player but I think he’ll be out as he got injured last week. They’ve got a big forward pack as well Mark O’Meley, Magnus Stromquist and Eloni Vunakece and then out wide they’ve got a bit of experience in the Centre’s. The Fullback, Grant Nelson, is dangerous. They are a pretty level side with talent spread across the park. We need to be on our game watching everyone.

So who is in the Casualty Ward this week??

Vai Toutai has a wrist injury and we don’t know about him yet. He’ll be have scans on that but everyone else is healthy.
